Aksana Aliakseyeva, the chairwoman of the Minsk organization of the United Civil Party, was detained along with her colleagues. She was sentenced to one year of imprisonment for grossly violating the order. The search conducted during her arrest resulted in the shattering of her apartment entrance door. Aksana contracted coronavirus while in prison and struggled with the illness, as she already had heart health problems.
She did not receive the necessary care packages, faced malevolent treatment, and was denied the heart medicines she needed. Currently, Aksana is serving her 1,5 year term in Homel prison.
