Yulia Livyant is the wife of a well-known Belarusian teacher, tutor in physics and mathematics, head of the tutoring center “100 Points,” Yauhen Livyant. She was detained together with her husband. Their daughter Anna was detained at the trial of her parents in December 2022, when she returned from Poland with her husband.

Former detainee Okrestina said of the political prisoner: “Yulia has diabetes and it is vital for her to take pills … And it was difficult for Yulia because of her illness, because she can’t have potatoes, bread, sugar. Soup was impossible because there are potatoes in it, and the only thing left was to eat porridge.”

Yulia was sentenced to two years of “home chemistry”.
